Well, this was my second time teaching in intermediate
and there were some unexpected situations that I had never thought befote. But I
did what I could. Well, I began with a warm up to review the modals and
somethings from the previous class. After that, the teacher gave me a reading
for the presentation because he told me the previous class that he would look
for the presentation and I just had to do it. So, I did that prestentation but I
did it very quickly, I did that activity very fast and then I didn´t know what
to do and then I did a listening activity that was on the book. I did those
activities and thanks God I finished the class and then in the feedback the
teacher told me that I had to manage more the time but I said that as he told
me that he was about to bring the presentation I had no chance to prepare
something else because the class was about to begin so that´s why there were
some moments in which I felt kind of lost and I didn´t know what to do and he
understood that and then, I hope to do better next class.
I´m glad you managed that situation. It is difficult to manage the time sometimes, even if we have planned everything. Things like that happen and we have to learn how to deal with those unexpected situations.
ReplyDeleteMmmm Angel pekeño... that has happened to me before. It is difficult when external situations affect your plans. As Yennychriss says, we have to learn how to deal with those situations because they will appear at any time. The good thing is that we are getting more experience; at the end we will be professionals ( I hope so).

ReplyDeleteI can see that you fel a little disappointed with that experience, but it is only part of your preparation as a teacher. We have to face those situations in order to grow as a prodfessional. It is good to knwo that you could manage it, and that you had a good attitude towards it.
