I
taught yesterday. I think I did better than the first time. Well, I began with
a warm-up which I made a little modification and I called it “hot can”… I got a
small can and inside the can there were small pieces of paper that contained
questions, penalties, and tongue twisters. The students were in semi-circle and
I gave the can to one student. I told them that they had to pass the can while
some music was playing. And when I stopped the music, the students stopped
passing the can. The person who got the can had to open it and picked up a
paper and read what it said. They were passing the can several times and they
had fun with that activity. Also, with that activity they were practicing the
different tenses that they have been studying during the week.
After
that, I gave some examples of the tenses and I wrote them on the board. There were
affirmative sentences and those sentences were transformed into questions. After
that, I asked the students to work on some controlled exercises. They were
working and I was monitoring they work. Then, I did a listening activity that
was on the book. And at the end, they were working on the listening and working
in pairs.
The
feedback was ok. The teacher told me that I had some mistakes but that I corrected
them. I think that I did better and I hope so!!!!!! =S
