Hello people…! Here I am to tell you about my
second teaching practice with Technical English. =)
Well, today I arrived like fifteen minutes before
to prepare the warm up and the presentation. As a warm up, I did the whispering
game. I asked the girls to make two groups and I told them what they had to do.
I explained them that one person of each group had to read a sentence that I had
and then, they had to go to their groups and whisper the sentence. After they
whisper the sentence to the person who was next to them, the person with the
marker had to go to the board and write it. It was funny because they didn’t write
the correct sentence.
After that, I continued with the presentation which
was a short conversation about professions using the question “What do you do?”
and “Where do you work?” I had it
already on the board so, I read it once. Then, I asked the students to repeat
after me and they did it. Then, I asked them to write it down on their
notebooks. So, I gave them time to do it. Later, they practiced it with their
neighbor. They practiced it several times and they did a good job.
After that, I gave a photocopy to each of them
which contained several professions and occupations. There were pictures and
the name of each of them. We read them all and we repeat them. We discussed
about each of them and where all those people work.
Finally, I gave them some controlled practice so
they could do with the professions.
The feedback was good! My score was great! =) and I’m
going to do my last practice this coming Monday! =) Thanks God! So….. see ya!
