Today was my first teaching practice. I was kind of nervous before I got in to the classroom, but when I got in the classroom I felt more confident. I began with a warm-up in order to review the professions. I gave some photocopies to the students and I asked them to work in pairs and they developed very well the task. I moved on with other activities and they were effective. The students followed very well the directions and they participated during the class. In some cases, I noticed my mistakes and I felt bad because I knew that I made a mistake maybe in pronouncing a word or in a structure of a question. Affortunately, the class was very nice and the result too. At the end, the teacher gave me the feedback and I already expected the mistakes I already made. I was concerned of what I have done and I will try to be more prepared for the next class I am going to teach. I was prepared but it was not enough, so, I would do better the next class. =)
Que bonito. I think all of us feel that sensation of being nervous since is a new experience. We remember when we were in Basic and now we are teaching basic or some other subjects related to the major. We are learning from our mistakes and through pure experience. That's real learning.

ReplyDeleteThe same happened to me little angel. When I was explaining about "possessive adjectives", I noticed my pronunciation mistakes and as you said, I also felt bad because I should have practiced the pronunciation of difficult words before the class. Now, I know that I need more preparation on that area. The good part is that we are learning from our mistakes...

ReplyDeleteHey congratulations friend!! I think you've done a good job during the class. Remember this is the base for our future and we have to do our best in every class we teach. It's nice to feel that we've helped someone to learn... And a recommendation is that you should try to remember very well the mistakes you made in order no to make them again in the next class.... love ya! =)

ReplyDeleteIt is godd to know that you were able to notice your mistakes. I would suggest that if you know that you that you make a mistake, you can correct yourself. Your teacher will notice that and won't take those mistakes into account.

Yeah my beautiful friend we are going to do it better next time!! remember we can do it by ourselves of course with the help of God.... And you see it was nothing the nerves we felt at before entering to the classroom.
ReplyDeleteHi Estelita I know that you felt a little bad about your first class, but please do not feel that way, and think that we as humans beings are imperfect. The good new is that we can learn from that mistakes, learn from them, and be better every day. I personally admire you a lot and I know that the second time will be great for you. I will be anxious for reading your second entry :-)... Just relax a little and you will see everything will be nice. Congrats for having the courage of admit your own mistakes.
